Allen Jabez Blackhurst (1894-1977) with his mother Lula May Burner Blackhurst. Shown standing in the yard on Burner Hill at Cass, W.Va. Both had just survived typhond fever. Allen was the son of Rev. Harry Blackhurst and married Bessie Alice Kee 1889-1949). Later married Gertrude Ralston.
